New Generations

New Generations family reunification program serves homeless women who are in the process of reunifying with their children.

Upon acceptance into the program, an individualized reunification plan is developed for each family which will address the goals and appropriate needs that are unique to the reunification process. Coupled with other support services, an emphasis is placed on teaching parenting skills and counseling parent and child/children with regard to surrounding issues that have developed as a result of the separation. Additionally, each parent is provided the necessary tools to establish appropriate relationships with schools, physicians and other professionals who may be involved with the care and development of their child/children. The intent is to coach parents to become more actively involved in the lives of their child/children and to be proactive to the needs of their families.
