New Expectations (NEXT) Program

New Expectations (NEXT) serves homeless pregnant and postpartum women who have a history of substance abuse. NEXT provides comprehensive services including educational, employment services, parenting classes, and assistance in developing independent living skills. Residents of NEXT are also provided with the following services: case management, substance abuse counseling, maternal support, housing services, budgeting and savings counseling, and connections to various entitlement programs. For other services, residents are referred for prenatal and postpartum care, individual psychotherapy, NA/AA meetings and aftercare programs, job preparation/training programs, and GED preparation classes.
